PT GAJAH TUNGGAL Tbk adalah produsen Ban terbesar di Asia Tenggara  yang memproduksi ban untuk berbagai jenis kendaraan. Emiten berkode saham GJTL ini sudah berdiri sejak tahun 1951 dan memulai bisnisnya dengan produsen sekaligus distributor ban sepeda. Perusahaan yang sudah melantai di BEI sejak tahun 1990 ini berhasil masuk kedalam ‘TOP 100 Most Valuable and Strongest Indonesia Brands 2021’ versi Brands Finance Indonesia. GJTL ini semakin ramai diperbincangkan investor ketika pada 7 januari 2021 lalu, ketika Lo Kheng Hong membeli 176,48 juta lembar saham atau 5,06 % saham GJTL.

"PT GAJAH TUNGGAL Tbk is the largest tire manufacturer in Southeast Asia which produces tires for various types of vehicles. This issuer with the GJTL stock code has been established since 1951 and started its business with a manufacturer and distributor of bicycle tires. The company, which has been on the IDX since 1990, has made it into the 'TOP 100 Most Valuable and Strongest Indonesia Brands 2021' version of Brands Finance Indonesia. Investors are increasingly discussing GJTL when on January 7 2021, when Lo Kheng Hong bought 176.48 million shares or 5.06% of GJTL shares".

Selain memproduksi dan mendistribusikan ban untuk berbagai jenis kendaraan, GJTL juga memproduksi dan mendistribusikan produk karet lainnya seperti karet sintesis, benang, dan ban dalam, flap, O-ring dan banyak lagi.

"Apart from producing and distributing tires for various types of vehicles, GJTL also manufactures and distributes other rubber products such as synthetic rubber, threads and inner tubes, flaps, O-rings and many more".

 

Sebagai perusahaan yang sudah  dekade berada di Bursa Efek Indonesia perusahaan menyebutkan bahwa di bulan 9 bulan pertama 2022 ini penjualan bersih GJTL meningkat 13,9 % secara year on year akan tetapi perusahaan justru membukukan kerugian hingga Q3 2022 ini.

"As a company that has been on the Indonesian Stock Exchange for decades, the company stated that in the first 9 months of 2022, GJTL's net sales increased 13.9% year on year, but the company actually posted a loss until Q3 2022".

Pemilik mayoritas saham PT Gajah Tunggal  

49,5% saham GJTL dimiliki Denham Pte Limited ( anak perusahaan Giti Tire Pte. Ltd) yang berpusat di singapura. Giti Tire sendiri adalah pemain besar Industri Ban di china. 10 % saham GJTL dipegang Michelin dimana sejak 2004 menjalin kerjasama  strategis dengan Michelin dalam hal memproduksi ban Michelin untuk pasar Ekspor.

2. 35,33% sisanya dipegang oleh Masyarakat

The majority shareholder of PT Gajah Tunggal

49.5% of GJTL's shares are owned by Denham Pte Limited (a subsidiary of Giti Tire Pte. Ltd) based in Singapore. Giti Tire itself is a major player in the tire industry in China. Michelin holds 10% of GJTL shares, which has been in strategic partnership with Michelin since 2004 in producing Michelin tires for the export market.
